All of our events have one thing in common – helpers. We need helpers to run our competitions and – whilst we have a fantastic and dedicated committee! – we would need to clone all of them to run events without other help. So we call on our members to volunteer at at least one event in each year. It provides a great opportunity to meet other club members, socialise and learn.
- Interested in dressage? Volunteer to be a judge’s scribe.
- Interested in show jumping? Volunteer to score for a jump judge.
- Interested in showing? Volunteer to be a show judge scribe. You can learn so much in these roles, and many others!
We track our helpers throughout the year, as each member can build up to getting a free entry for an EDRC competition (1 full day helping = 1 free entry). Plus.. you get fed and watered when helping!
