Britain is divided into 23 Areas for the purposes of administration. Area 1 covers Scotland from the Forth and Clyde south.

The British Horse Society was founded in 1947, and we have grown over the past 70 years to become the largest and most influential equestrian charity in the UK with over 115,000 members.
British Riding Clubs
British Riding Clubs (BRC) exists to provide support and encouragement to amateur riders of all levels – from the dedicated competitor to the leisure rider. We offer a range of events and training through over 480 clubs and centres right across the UK.
Cousland Park Livery Yard and Equine Training Centre
At Cousland Park we provide a friendly, relaxed environment where everyone can enjoy their own horse. We welcome horses and riders of all levels and interests from beginner to seasoned competitors.
Lothians Riding Club
Lothians Riding Club was formed  in 2002.  We are a relatively small club but pride ourselves on being very well organised, friendly with an emphasis on having fun. 
Peebles Riding Club
The Peebles and District Riding Club are an affiliated member of the British Riding Clubs (Area 1) serving Peebles, Biggar and West Linton and their surrounding areas.
